We Have Developed Special Capabilities
Our Calder restorations were the first time the Calder Foundation permitted refinishing and restoration down to the level of bare metal. We introduced the use of modern epoxy and polyurethane technologies in the refinishing process. The Liberman Adonai restoration was a total rebuild. The old sculpture was demolished and a replacement constructed. Alexander Liberman even made a few small changes!

Mary Kinnear walked into my office one day and said "Jim and I bought a little hunting place down in Virginia". She pulled out a snapshot of a falling down 1830's plantation house. I replied, "We have to think about this and take our time. This house has never been restored, it is all original content."

My minor in Architecture at Cornell was Architectural History. I was invited to be the architect for the excavations at Kourion, Cyprus. The site had been well excavated by the UPenn in the 1950's, they exposed the foundation of the Temple of Aplllo Hylates, but no one knew what the Temple looked like. I was able to discover and excavate temple stones which led to the restoration of the Temple of Apollo Hylates. Additionally, I made the smaller discovery of the of Daphne's garden just down the street. When you have Apollo you look for Daphne!
